Thanks to the Amazing Race, I fell behind on seasonals again…so this short list is more of a formality than anything. So following on from yesterday’s post, bold is Crunchyroll, unbolded is either not revealed yet (as of the writing of this post on the 19th of December 2023) or not on Crunchyroll.

Continuing

  • Kusuriya no Hitorigoto/Apothecary Diaries: My mother has been bingeing this while I’ve been gone from it, so now I think she’s ahead of me. (Then again, I only know this from the fact I was passing by the TV at one point, so I might be wrong on this…)

New

  • Ao no Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati-hen: Ooh…I read a chunk of the Blue Exorcist manga back in the day, but I only got around here before I stopped entirely.
  • Hime-sama, Goumon no Jikan Desu/Princess, ‘Tis Time for Torture – It’s time for y’all to meet the princess and Ex, her talking, snarky sword!
  • Majo to Yajuu – I have a copy of the 1st volume on Bookwalker. Hopefully it’s good.
  • Bucchigiri?! – You know what else Hiroko Utsumi made? SK8. SK8 was great.
  • Gushing Over Magical Girls/Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete – On the one hand, magical girls. Yay! On the other hand, this magical girl fan becomes a dominatrix…Nay.
  • Yubisaki to Renren/A Sign of Affection – I feel like The Amazing Race is good about championing how deaf people can do the same things hearing people can (see: Margie and Luke, Rob and Corey from the current season as of writing this post), so seeing an anime romance spin on it almost seems like something that should’ve been done already but hasn’t. Also, has anyone ever said the pun in the English title is great? Because I feel like no one’s said that yet…
  • Gekkan Mousou Kagaku/Delusional Monthly Magazine: Aside from the Boueibu alumni and all the good looking guys, a quick glance over the AniList credits gives me Boueibu vibes in a good way.

I was also hyped for Ishura (I’ve been considering buying the source novels since I’ve seen them on the shelf a few times and the series does intrigue me in a Shuumatsu no Valkyrie type of way), but I removed that from the list because I’ve heard it’s going to be on Netflix.
